Event description

Learn the basic skills of knitting from Karen while making a make-up remover or face cloth. During this course, Karen will cover the Long-Tail Cast On, the basic "knit" stitch, and casting off. You'll also learn about terminology used in the knitting community, the different supplies available, and how to approach your first knitting pattern. Materials required: - 8-ply or higher cotton yarn - 4.5mm knitting needles (straight or circular needles) * Supplies can be purchased from PAPER SCISSORS WOOL. We stock Fiddlesticks Wren 8-ply cotton in 42 colours, Fiddlesticks Finch 10-ply cotton in 5 colours, and Seeknit Shirotake bamboo knitting needles. * All workshop participants enjoy a 10% discount storewide at the time of the event.
