The Pacific Knit Co. Base Doodle Patterns are a series of basic knitting patterns that can be personalised with colourwork motifs, such as those from Doodle Decks. Each pattern is presented as a tri-fold brochure with guidance on "how to doodle", as well as all the instructions needed to complete the base pattern.
The Base Doodle Top-Down Socks (Fingering weight or 4-ply) is your new go-to sock recipe! Try full colourwork socks, decorate the leg, or just add a splash of colourwork along the cuff. Play with different ribbing, heels, and toes. This pattern includes six sizes, from baby to adult.
This sock pattern is worked in the round, from the top down. The cuff is worked and then the design-your-own stranded colourwork is worked on the leg. An afterthought heel is placed, before finishing the colourwork on the foot. Then the toe is shaped and grafted together. Lastly, the afterthought heel is picked up and worked.
