We are super excited about our upcoming Christmas crochet workshop on Sunday, Dec 7! We'll be learning to crochet snowflakes to string into garlands or add to your holiday gift wrap. If you're in Adelaide and you're keen to join, click below for more information and to register.
For those who can't make it, here's a cute little crochet star pattern for turning into a garland, decorating your tree or gifts, or increasing the cosy factor of your bedroom.

You can use any wool for this project, but the size of the star will change depending on the thickness of your wool (and hook). We used 8-ply White Gum Wool in the Everlasting colourway with a 4.0 mm hook. (Purchase White Gum Wool here and bamboo crochet hooks here). Each star used approximately 3g of wool.
Make a magic circle, chain 1, and tighten the circle a bit as needed.
Round 1: Half-treble 10 times, then slip stitch into the first half-treble.
Fully tighten the circle and chain 1.
Round 2: Double crochet into same stitch as slip stitch from Round 1, chain 1, treble stitch into same stitch, chain 2, treble stitch into next stitch (a half-treble from Round 1), chain 1, double crochet into same stitch as treble.
Repeat row above across every 2 stitches four more times, then slip stitch into first double crochet and tighten.
Fasten off and weave in. Pinch points if needed to enhance the starry-ness.
